The project of CROC Live on the platform of the Jive software product was let into CROC companies in 2014. Pilot testing of social network began with 50 people, at the same time the project solved problems only of production departments: increase in efficiency of collaboration in projects and reduction of time for information search. The new format of work which became possible thanks to corporate social network so was pleasant to employees that the number of users naturally increased by 6 times for the first 4 months after the beginning of testing of a product. It became clear that a system can solve not only problems within project management, dissemination of knowledge in a project team, but also marketing, and HR questions. As a result the social network CROC Live replaced with itself a corporate portal, base of skills, the system of project experience, the system of group work on marketing documents and some more services, having provided all above-mentioned on one platform.
Users of CROC of Live are about 2,500 people - it is employees and external participants who, without violating requirements of information security of CROC, are connected to the working spaces. The geography of the project affects both other cities of Russia, and other countries, employees and participants of project teams can work from any place in the world and practically from any device at any time. The corporate network is used as uniform access point to all information: technical specifications and project documents, discussions of projects in the working groups, all necessary information on the staff of CROC. Besides, each head of CROC in Jive has the group of subscribers in which it updates and spreads the solutions, spreads the project information, marketing materials created together with department of marketing. Those staff of CROC who is interested in solutions can subscribe for group, for example, are going to participate in development of the direction or on sale of the solution. At the same time, marketing and HR conduct the groups where the activities conduct, for example, surveys and tenders and also publish materials.
Based on Jive there is a gamification of business processes of the company: for achievements and active work in corporate social network employees get badges and points which develop in level — an indicator of the status of the employee in the company. Points are converted in "baize" — electronic corporate currency. It can be spent right there in Jive, in special online store with a wide choice of souvenirs with corporate symbolics, elements of a decor, the equipment and even charitable purchases and expensive training. All this increases the involvement of employees into work, stimulates creativity — here and now. However the strategy of gamification of business processes is constantly tuned — we work on expansion of tools and spheres for its implementation in Jive. The corporate social network already became the demanded platform for team work on projects including thanks to collecting in it project experience and to accumulation of all information on the implemented projects of the company. The existing practices collected in the knowledge base considerably accelerate creation of final materials: letters to customers, the presentations according to any solution or the industry, leaflets, expert comments and many other. For project teams the social network became a convenient platform for the organization of communications for the solution of project and preseylovy questions — it is possible to see project parameters, a response of the customer, project artifacts, the connected people, opinions — all these data help specialists of CROC to repeat in the future the best practices and to avoid possible errors.
For the project company as ours, it is extremely important to impart knowledge between project teams. But traditional approaches badly work at so dynamic market as IT. By the time of when you systematized data, they already became outdated and lost a considerable part of the value. Main goal which we wanted to reach during Jive creation — cross information exchange in the company, distribution of experience and competences. We managed it. Already now in CROC of Live more than 50,000 materials are registered, more than 1500 different groups are created — all this works for increase in efficiency of our activity. At the same time it is convenient that all information is collected in one place, it is possible to analyze quickly opportunities, to see the previous experiment and on its basis to prepare new materials.
