The African Dangote Refinery Oil Refinery uses Aspen PIMS-AO for optimization of assets

Aspen Technology, the company, software developer for optimization of production assets, in November, 2017 announced that Dangote Group, the largest group in the Western Africa and one of the largest on the African continent, selected the software of Aspen PIMS-AO, the solution for optimization of production at processing plants for economic and operational planning, after careful assessment of solutions of the companies of competitors.

The plants on processing and production of olefins around the world use this solution for the choice of raw materials, optimization of product assortment and production planning. Thanks to this solution, the Dangote company builds the world's largest Refinery with one fabrication cycle, Dangote Oil Refinery, with production turnover - 650,000 barrels a day. At oil refinery the world's largest enterprise for production of the urea 3 million tons per year in addition to polyethylene plants and the gas-processing enterprises on 3 billion standard cubic foot (SCF) of the natural gas a day transported through 1100 kilometers of the underwater pipeline infrastructure constructed by Dangote Group company will be also placed.
