Rostelecom completed transfer on the infrastructure of information systems of Danone

2020: Migration of the IC in a cloud

Rostelecom, the provider of digital services and solutions, announced on November 16, 2020 migration of information systems and business and critical applications of one of producers of food, Danone company, on own cloud infrastructure.

Rostelecom held a complex of organizational and technical events, having provided migration of infrastructure of Danone from own software and hardware tools on cloud infrastructure of the company. Rostelecom provided means of replication of virtual machines and data recovery for uninterrupted operation of business and critical information systems of Danone.

Information systems of Danone were placed on two independent, territorially spaced platforms of service Virtual DPC, all necessary tools are provided, communication channels are organized, reservation of data is provided.

The volume of the infrastructure selected under the project is about one thousand cores of virtual processors, more than a terabyte of RAM and tens terabyte of disk space.

For transfer of information systems Rostelecom used the last technological solutions adapted for individual requirements of Danone. It allowed the customer to carry out migration on infrastructure of Rostelecom, having ensured smooth operation of systems critical for a company performance in the territory of the CIS.

For Danone company it is necessary step on development of IT infrastructure which allowed to reach serious economy due to more effective use of resources and gave the chance flexibly to manage our requirements, it is essential to reduce terms and labor input of preparation of information systems for projects that is extremely important in the conditions of a fast changing situation in the world — the manager on information technologies of Danone group estimated project deliverables at the CIS Alexey Polishchuk.

The infrastructure provided on service model and additional services allow to transfer completely to a cloud platform of Rostelecom of the business application of Danone in Russia. It will allow the company to be focused on the key directions of business development, having left routine work on providing and maintenance of information systems in an area of responsibility of Rostelecom.
