DataDome completed the project for VTB 24 bank

The DATADOME company (DataDome Ltd) announced in December, 2012 project completion for VTB 24 bank — one of the largest participants of the Russian market of banking services.

The bank is included into VTB international financial group and specializes in services for individuals, individual entrepreneurs and small businesses. Among the provided services of VTB 24 bank - the bank card issue, services of remote control of accounts, money transfers and also some other. A part of services is available to clients of bank in the round-the-clock mode for what modern telecommunication technologies are used. To ensure functioning of services of bank in mode 24х7, it was necessary to prepare completely for it IT infrastructure of bank for what upgrade of a system of its power supply was required.

When implementing the project specialists of DataDome company completely reorganized a power supply system of DPC No. 1 of bank. Using the equipment (UPS and DGU systems) which is already installed earlier, completely new system of distribution of power supply for conditioners and server racks of DPC No. 1 was mounted. Step-by-step switching to the new scheme as engineering equipment (UPS, DGU and conditioners), and server racks is made. All these works were performed without blackout of the equipment ЦОД№ 1.

As a result of the carried-out upgrade of a power supply system of DPC No. 1, it was succeeded to provide the set level of fault tolerance Tier III. All elements of the constructed system have reservation according to scheme 2N now and allow to perform any repair work and operational switchings without shutdown of consumers ЦОД№1.

Within the project the DataDome company to terms less than half a year carried out electric installation work, the new panel board equipment is installed, laying of new cable lines and switching of the server hardware to a new power supply diagram are performed.

Creation of the upgraded infrastructure will allow to minimize the financial investments and human resources on maintenance of continuity of work of services of bank, and labor costs of customer service and finance of bank can be concentrated on quality improvement of service of users and implementation of new services. Quality improvement and reliability of operation of applications and services of bank due to upgrade of an electric power supply system and, as a result, total absence of unplanned shutdowns and idle times, means quality improvement of customer service of VTB 24 bank, their loyalty, high reputation of bank and its successful development in the future.
