Enkom has equipped a new St. Petersburg data center with a guaranteed power supply system

2024: Completion of electrical equipment of the data center in St. Petersburg

The company "Enkom" has completed the project of electrical equipment of the data center in St. Petersburg. On the basis of parallel imports and the best import-independent solutions, Enkom equipped the data center with uninterruptible power supplies, backup generators and power distribution systems. The company announced this on April 12, 2024.

This data center in St. Petersburg has been put into commercial operation under the Data Center No. 1 brand and is located in the south of the city, in the area of ​ ​ the Preportovaya station, not far from Pulkovo airport. The facility with a capacity of 236 racks is equipped with engineering systems that comply with international Tier III certification standards. Redundancy at the generator level is carried out according to formula 2N, and redundancy at the UPS level according to formula 2 (N + 1).

As a result of the competitive selection conducted by the investor of the facility, Enkom was selected as the general contractor of the whole range of works from design, logistics and construction to commissioning of power supply systems. Competitive selection criteria, in addition to price and technical characteristics, included logistics risk management, guarantees of long-term operation and service support of selected solutions.

In the context of political and economic turbulence, "Enkoms" within the agreed period put the equipment of manufacturers of Italy, France, the United States and maximally used the possibilities of import substitution without compromising the reliability of the system as a whole, - said Ruslan Ramazanov, General Director of Data Center No. 1.

Starting from the development of the project concept and up to the final choice of manufacturers, everything changed several times, - emphasized Anna Grigorieva, General Director of Enkom, - the project was successfully completed, thanks to our experts and the fact that we worked with the client in a unified project management system. In 2024-2026, Enkom plans to participate in other projects for the construction of data centers in St. Petersburg and the Moscow region.
