A feature of the contract is its offset character. This means that the supplier, ZBO, undertakes obligations for investments aimed at developing its own production. According to the terms of the contract, the plant will allocate at least 150 million rubles for these purposes.

As explained by the general director of the MSPA Corporation, Leksander Isaevich, such a mechanism provides long-term demand for small and medium-sized businesses and gives a large company a reliable domestic manufacturer capable of producing equipment with specified technical characteristics.

This agreement was concluded within the framework of the program of "growing" suppliers from among SMEs. The opportunity for large customers to conclude long-term offset agreements small and medium-sized businesses with was implemented on behalf of the president Russia Vladimir Putin in 2022.
