On Sakhalin, industrial drones began to deliver medicines

Doctors of the Federal Center for Disaster Medicine of the Russian Ministry of Health began to use Stork drones to deliver medicines. This project was told in the company "Drone Solutions," which is the developer of these drones.

The first stage of testing the Stork tiltrotor was carried out in the interests of the Federal Center for Disaster Medicine of the Russian Ministry of Health. The device delivered biomaterials in test mode. The drone is designed to deliver goods to hard-to-reach areas, as well as monitor the situation in the emergency zone, - quotes TASS the message "Drone solutions."

The flight route of the drone with medicines passed from the village of Chaplanovo to the city of Nevelsk. The flight lasted 55 minutes, during which time the UAV covered 45 km. Moreover, it took place in extreme weather conditions: with heavy snowfall, visibility no more than 100 m, air temperature minus 11 degrees, air humidity 50%, wind 18 m/s with gusts up to 20 m/s at an altitude of 1 thousand m. On the ground, the cargo was met by a medical worker and handed it over for delivery to the hospital.

At the second stage of testing on Sakhalin, it is planned to create six UAV basing hubs. Their purpose is to search and monitor emergency sites, and emergency and regular delivery of medicines, laboratory tests and other goods. The Ministry of Health of Buryatia intends to work out a system of unmanned deliveries as part of the activities of the disaster medicine service.
