Deltakhim lowered costs using clouds

The ALV Group company helped to reduce costs for start of new business of Deltakhim company, having offered cloud placement of key IT services. The Cloud Computing company acted as the technology partner of the project.

Several months ago the Deltakhim company started in Russia the new project on promotion of construction materials through wide network of partners and retail chain stores.

The kind of work of the new enterprise assumed the maximum mobility of employees and at the same time — need of their continuous access to corporate information resources. At a stage of start of the new business the company decided to refuse lease of the selected office space and to organize work of employees at "virtual office", using cloud IT services of Microsoft.

For implementation of this task the Microsoft company recommended ALV Group company.

Having studied tasks and requirements Deltakhim, specialists of ALV Group suggested to use for the organization of corporate communications, data storage and work with documents cloud services of Microsoft Office 365. Internal applications, first of all, a 1C system, are decided to be taken out in Microsoft Azure, having organized for employees Deltakhim reliable remote access to these resources. ALV Group attracted the partner to project implementation — the Cloud Computing company offering to the clients of service of a hosting and virtual placement of IT resources.

After carrying out all necessary calculations the customer was convinced of economic feasibility of the offered option and made the decision on lease in Microsoft Azure of the resources necessary for work of 1C: the Medium virtual machine and disk space with geographically distributed fault tolerance. For work with documents it was decided to purchase a subscription for the plan of Microsoft Office 365 P2 offering access to the Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Lync Online and Office Pro Plus resources.

Participation Cloud Computing company as the consultant at a stage of the choice of the solution allowed to provide Deltakhim access to Microsoft Azure according to the Russian legislation. The unique Oblakoteki system helped Deltakhim company to avoid work with foreign offices Microsoft and to provide the closing documents of the Russian sample. Besides, participation in the project of Cloud Computing company guaranteed lease of the Windows Azure resources according to the required SLA level.

Works on connection of the Microsoft Azure resources and deployment for them software products 1C took less than a week. Then complex testing of performance and access to the solution from different points of the Moscow region was held. By its results the staff of Deltakhim company confirmed efficiency and sufficient system performance. A system is put into operation, a part of employees Deltakhim uses it, connection to it new Maxim Zakharenko is planned in the nearest future, the CEO Oblakoteki so commented on this project: "Cloud Computing helps partners to get convenient and profitable access to cloud resources.
