Private technopark will be created in Tomsk by the end of 2021

2020: Construction of Herzen IT Park

A private technopark specializing in wireless communication technologies will be created in Tomsk by the end of 2021. The large-scale project of the Herzen IT park is being implemented by the Tomsk company STK - Systemy.Technology.Communications. This became known on December 18, 2020.

Technopark will combine comfortable office spaces and high-tech production sites. There will be a landfill for testing developments, production facilities for prototyping and a "showroom" of ready-made solutions.

When developing the project, we carefully studied the best examples both among Russian technology parks and among the best world-class technology parks. In each project, we found interesting and functional solutions and looked at how this can be applied with us, "said Andrei Savin, project ideologist and general director of STK.

Partners of Herzen IT Park are of particular interest. Telecom companies such as Motorola Solutions, Cisco and InfiNET have already confirmed their participation. It is their equipment that is primarily used to create a technopark. Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radio Electronics will also become a partner. The university is actively involved in the development of communication technologies that will be used in the products of residents of the technology park.

Herzen IT Park is designed in accordance with the latest global trends in environmental construction - the world standard "WELL Building Standard" and biophilic design. In construction, it is planned to use environmentally friendly materials, and "green" technologies will be used in the interior design. We are talking about the predominance of natural light, the creation of "living" walls and other elements that maximize the potential of people working here.
