Dev-House automates document flow in network of Lenta hypermarkets

Customers: Tape Network of retail

Contractors: Dev.House
Product: Alfresco ECM

Project date: 2011/01

The Dev-House group specializing in work with the open source and modern mobile devices announced the beginning of development of the system of electronic approval of agreements for network of Lenta hypermarkets. Within the project processes of internal approval and agreement signature with suppliers and also annexes to these agreements – agreements on rendering marketing, logistics services, agreements on factoring, replacement of the person will be automated, says Dev-House.

The system of electronic approval of agreements will be developed on the basis of the open source. According to Dev-House, it will represent the convergent platform based on the BPM engine Intalio and ECM- systems Alfresco (both technologies – opened) which will also be integrated with the system which is already available in Tape SAP. Such combination of platforms will allow to achieve high flexibility and transparency of business processes: the company will be able quickly to arrange them under the changing economic conditions without the additional costs connected with change of the existing IT systems claim in Dev-House. Besides, the speed of work with large volumes of documents will increase. Thus, a new system will increase controllability of the company and will increase efficiency of its work. In addition, use of open technologies will allow to reduce system cost in comparison with the similar proprietary systems due to economy on license fees, emphasized in the company.

"This project shows that the large companies appreciated advantages of open technologies, their efficiency and economy which they can give, – Kulichenko Konstantin, the CEO of Dev-House company said (enters into group of companies). – After crisis many enterprises were faced the need of entering of certain changes into the IT systems because many business processes exchanged, for example, some divisions were liquidated or, on the contrary, there were new. But such changes mean huge costs as business processes "are sewn up" in the available systems for the companies and that to change them, it is necessary to change completely all system. On the example of Tape we see how it is possible to avoid big costs: having implemented rather inexpensive solution and having integrated it with the available system, we will receive one big, flexible and effective system increasing controllability of the company and even minimizing costs for upgrade of IT systems in the future".

At the same time, the functionality of a system will help Tape to exclude losses of documents and technical errors by preparation of documents, to provide transparency of process of approval, a possibility of storage of a change history of documents and also fast and convenient document retrieval in electronic archive and at the same time to accelerate approval process. It will also lead to increase in company performance, noted in Dev-House.

It is planned that system development will be complete by April, 2011, and complete implementation – by the end of April, 2011.
