2024: Implementation of Project Lad

On May 27, 2024, Lad announced the use of Project Lad, a product for managing projects and project portfolios with an AI assistant and the functionality of calendar and network schedules, in the construction of an ice palace in Nizhny Novgorod.

According to the review of the Institute for the Development of the Construction Industry LLC, on average, the postponement of the deadlines for housing is 7 months. The delay in the delivery of facilities entails penalties, expanding budget boundaries, resource overruns and reducing margins.

Over the year, Project Lad experts interviewed more than 60 large and medium-sized companies implementing construction and infrastructure projects. Among the main reasons for the shift in terms, managers call manual execution of routine tasks, which reduces overall productivity and increases the likelihood of errors due to the human factor; Low digitization and silos lack of ability to quickly obtain and visualize data.

The solution to this problem for the industry will be to digitize evidence and automate work with it through the potential of artificial intelligence. The market needs tools that will allow managers to make decisions at each point of the project, and will also be simple and intuitive to use, "said Marat Mukharyamov, director of Project Lad.

So Project Lad implements a smart scheduling and network planning schedule. The table editor allows you to upload data from different tables, process them, and generate reports. The AI-based assistant understands the data structure of the project portfolio, identifies the causes of delays and makes recommendations for choosing a favorable scenario.

Project Lad was involved in managing the 12,000-seat ice arena project in Nizhny Novgorod. The pilot project digitized the schedule, as well as automated analytics during the production and installation of air ducts.

During the pilot, the tables with the initial data were loaded into the system: work schedule, volumes, actual and planned indicators. We received a network schedule with links, set up dependencies between works, each of which includes a number of parameters and metrics - attributes, work, planned figures and actual achievement of volumes. Ensured data collection and reporting. The system predicts how the data will be shifted if the work is performed in one way or another.

The Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region positively assessed the results of the pilot project: the use of Project Lad on the project made it possible to reduce reporting time by 5 times, as well as increase forecasting accuracy in comparison with the manual method. As a result of the pilot, it was decided to scale and develop the system to a full-fledged project management information system for its facilities.

The implementation of the system provided a more mature approach to project metrics. The ability to quickly obtain data and visualize it, allows you to see the risks and timely rebuild the work at a certain stage or site. We have already assessed the effect of the implementation. The plans are to launch the solution into trial operation at several more construction facilities, - said Vadim Zhogan, Deputy General Director for Capital Construction of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation JSC, the managing organization of Ice Palace LLC.

Large players by inertia continue to use foreign systems, which, although not updated, are familiar to users and cover the current volume of tasks, but the market is actively looking for solutions to replace them. At the same time, new tools should not only replace, but take the management of high-load projects to a new level.

When choosing project management solutions, enterprise customers consider the complexity of integration into the IT landscape, the need to restructure business processes, and adapt staff to the new system. Also, the B2B segment begins piloting solutions using artificial intelligence to assess the speed, quality of tasks and economic effect.

Our solution, an analogue of MS Project and Oracle Primavera, allows you to manage projects taking into account local features and in full compliance with the requirements of Russian legislation. The first implementation cases show that Project Lad increases transparency by connecting the operational loop with the strategic one, and the AI assistant helps to establish quick and intuitive interaction with data, "said Marat Mukharyamov, director of Project Lad.

Project Lad is already used at extractive industry enterprises for planning mining and managing production facilities for capital construction, as well as for managing investment and construction projects in Russia and India.
