In Izhevsk there began work the dialysis center Fresenius

On November 28, 2017 in Izhevsk the dialysis center Fresenius in which patients with a chronic renal failure can receive the planned out-patient help free of charge within the state program of compulsory health insurance opened.

The center is equipped with 36 modern devices "artificial kidney" and expected the help to 216 patients to whom the hemodialysis method is recommended. It is supposed that in the long term the center will also be able to offer services using other method of dialysis therapy — peritoneal dialysis — and to accept still up to 100 patients.

As of November 28, in the center there are still more than ten patients, many of which were forced to go behind obtaining the procedure of a hemodialysis to Votkinsk due to the lack of enough places for its carrying out in Izhevsk earlier. With introduction in the city to a system of the dialysis center the priority on receiving a hemodialysis disappeared.

The project is implemented on the basis of public-private partnership. To the investor — the German company Fresenius — the Government of the Udmurt Republic selected the premises under the center. In return, Fresenius enclosed in reconstruction of the building and the equipment of nearly 250 million rubles of investments.

As noted, in the center highly skilled doctors-nephrologists, nurses and service staff work.

Acceptance of patients in the center is open from 6 a.m. till 10 p.m. The procedure of a hemodialysis lasts 4 hours, it is necessary to repeat it according to standards three times a week. The direction on a hemodialysis to the patient is issued by the special commission of the regional Ministry of Health.

According to the Ministry of Health of Udmurtia, for November 1, 2017 constantly replacement kidney therapy is received by 452 residents of Udmurtia. In the republic 7 dialysis departments, including one children's work.^[1]
