2020: Start of the express product delivery
Since May 1, 2020 the express product delivery will be available from Dixy shops in Moscow. On April 30, 2020 said it in Dixy company. By the end of month shops in the Moscow region will be connected to delivery service. It is supposed that until the end of 2020 the coverage of service will cover all regions of presence of Dixy Group.
At project development the company placed emphasis on the speed of execution of orders and also on the idle time and convenient customer service allowing to order goods from shop "from the house". The main objective of service - to increase service quality of loyal buyers and also to draw attention of the new audience preferring to make purchases online.
In the situation which developed because of a coronavirus pandemic, the project needed to be started in extremely short time. The 1C: Trade Management system which was selected for project implementation allowed to automate delivery processes with the minimum completions: implement loading of orders from the website, take orders through call center, distribute them on shops, issue to employees of a task for assembly and delivery, to organize integration with courier services.
In two weeks after the beginning of the project, on April 15, delivery started in the pilot mode in the first two shops of network. Until the end of April 20 supermarkets were connected to service.
At the order the program defines the shop, nearest to the house of the buyer, and checks in it existence of necessary goods. If necessary during a design of delivery by phone the call center operator will help the buyer to collect a basket from the necessary products and will take the order. It is especially relevant for elderly buyers who observe recommendations about self-isolation in the period of a pandemic. For those who want to show care of relatives, the option "send the order for other address" is specially provided.
We are grateful to an IT command of Dixy which immediately implemented this project very significant both technology, and socially. Processes were thought out and changed literally on the fly, and our platform "1C: Enterprise" allowed to realize quickly and flexibly conceived, to implement and finish the necessary blocks, to start new processes. For April 30 it is possible to order products on the website dostavka.dixy.ru or through call center. Different types of payment are available: prepayment, payment by the bank card or cash. Until the end of the year Dixy is going to start mobile application.
At the order via the website the service of contactless delivery is available. The courier service "Dixy" is equipped with individual protection equipment and observes all necessary health requirements: before each exit to the client couriers study thermometry, use disposable protective masks and gloves.
