In the middle of September, 2020 doctors began to use the portable MRT-scanner of a brain developed by Hyperfine company. A system, mobile on hospital, allows to reveal specific damages of a brain at 29 of 30 patients with symptoms of a stroke and other neurologic frustration hospitalized in intensive care unit of the Yale hospital (Yale New Haven Hospital).
The results of a research published in the JAMA Neurology magazine documented the first application of a portable bedside device for MRT of a brain. Such system can provide immediate diagnostics of neurologic patients practically in any conditions in the presence of the standard power source.
A portable system without difficulties revealed symptoms of an ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, subarakhnoidalny hemorrhage, craniocereberal injury and tumors of a brain at patients with neurologic symptoms. The new device was also used for the analysis of 20 patients with heavy symptoms of COVID-19, and the status of many did not allow to transport them in an office of MRT for neurologic diagnostics. Neurologic violations were detected in eight of twenty patients.
The solution developed by Yale University in cooperation with producer of the medical equipment Hyperfine is intended for neurologists who help outside large megalopolises and who need fast diagnostic imaging. A new system can be used in the poor countries, rural areas or even in ambulance cars for recognition of symptoms of a stroke and other neurologic defeats which have a similar clinical picture and require immediate treatment.[1]
