Dr.Web did not let Kaspersky to schools of Tatarstan

The open electronic auction on purchase of "a packet of antivirus protection of Kaspersky Business Space Security or an equivalent" with annual support and updates with the starting maximum price of 3.8 million rubles (at the rate of 95 rub on one license) took place in January, 2011 the Customer considerably saved at the expense of delivery scope. For comparison different shrink-wrapped software products of Dr.Web at retail buying through a developer's site cost from 1290 rub (an antivirus of Dr.Web Pro on 2 PCs) up to 4990 rub (installation on 1 server and 5 PCs for small business).

From 4 participants the CentrSoft company which offered the price of 3.0397 million rubles was recognized the winner, it is told on etp.zakazrf.ru electronic marketplace. It is interesting that exactly the same price was offered by other participant – Softline Trade, but the request of the winner arrived literally for 10 min. earlier.

Delivery

Doctor Web Company announced in August, 2011 delivery of several tens of thousands licenses for the Dr.Web software products to average educational institutions of Tatarstan. The republican Ministry of informatization and communication acted as the customer.

The Republic of Tatarstan is one of engines of informatization of secondary education of Russia. For creation in educational institutions of a safe IT environment the Ministry of informatization and communication of Tatarstan bought a large batch of licenses for the Dr.Web software products: they will ensure information security of 40,000 objects — workstations and servers — at all schools of the republic. School students will be able without concerns to use Internet resources in the educational purposes and will be reliably protected from hit on the undesirable websites.

The vast majority of schools of Tatarstan is connected to the State Integrated Telecommunications System (SITS) which represents one big network in scales of all republic. Process of connection of schools to GIST continues continuously — the project is initiated by the cabinet of the Republic of Tatarstan and SUE Center of Information Technologies of the Republic of Tatarstan (SUE CIT of RT) is implemented.
