The Home Credit bank implements a modern storage system

The CROC company integrator performed implementation of the multi-layer data storage system (DSS) by request of Home Credit Bank.

The purpose of creation of multi-layer system of storage - acceleration of work of business applications of Home Credit Bank and increase in efficiency of data storage.

Solution

Migration on the modern high-performance VMAX platform from EMC company is performed. It allowed to lift limits of further growth of number of transactions which were imposed by DWH used before.

"Information on more than 21 million clients on all Russia is stored in our system, and their number continues to increase. Therefore, it is important to us to provide reliability of information storage, at increase in efficiency of business processes. It is our first operating experience of multi-layer system of data storage, and we were afraid that a system will not cope with the tasks assigned to it — in it there are significantly less hard drives, than in old DWH. But stress testing showed that we received the reliable platform which can be scaled both on capacity, and on performance.
