Project Progress

The ENRC group is one of world's leading in the field of production and processing of mineral resources; the group integrates the extracting, overworking, power and logistic enterprises. Implementation of the large-scale Arrow program — result of business process optimization using the advanced information technologies.

Within project implementation at all enterprises of group the resource management system of the SAP ERP enterprise is integrated.

Program priority — the quality of data defining the operational reporting, effective management of material resources including creation of effective process of supply.

Process of management of basic data according to modern world practices was developed for ensuring required quality of data within the project. A number of actions for structuring data and their binding to qualifiers on the basis of software solutions is held, [by RSI: OGS (Ontology Governance Solution)|Ontologies of RCG]] and series of the international standards ISO 8000.

Work on data was performed in two stages:

• At the first stage the information flow represented unloading of data, search of duplicates, removal of contradictions and transformation under requirements of the ERP system. 90% of the data of auxiliary character which are not requiring additional study underwent such procedure.
• For other 10% of the data defining quality of all system and being basic for business processes the cataloguing process including subprocesses on-level detailing of the description, standardization and cleaning of the duplicated records was carried out. The multilingual open technical vocabulary of RRO conforming to requirements of series of the international standard ISO 22745 is the basis.

When cataloguing the Ontology of RC Group is used for formation of a standard format of descriptions of nomenclature positions and services. For obtaining optimal result the dictionary was worked out by specialists of different divisions of ENRC for its adaptation under specific needs of business processes.

Use of standard descriptions of the hierarchical qualifier of own development, unsolved and inefficient concerning formation, was one of the defining factors of the choice of Ontology of RCG. For the purpose of harmonization on each balance sheet unit the specialized project team on creation of directories of inventory items, services and the reference book by partners was created. Reduction of the description of inventory items and services to one standard format, filling and unification of values of characteristics of services and inventory items, removal of the positions which are incorrectly described and duplicating each other was within the remit of this group.

Certification

On June 15-18, 2015 specialists of ENRC company were trained and were certified. In particular, took place:

• Certification of specialists of the NSI group on the Quality of Data system;
• Training in the basic principles of data management, to the principles of creation of open technical vocabularies;
• Practical work regarding cataloguing.

Result

As a result of project implementation in ENRC the reference corporate Ontology is created.
