2021: Use of Vinteo VKS

On September 10, 2021, Vinteo (Vinteo) announced that its video conferencing system for 3 days of operation of WEF-2021 served up to 40 business program conferences for 10 hours daily, with the simultaneous connection of up to 30 online participants (subscribers connected using the protocols WebRTC, SIP and H.323), up to 16 images of speakers were displayed on the screens of the Forum halls at the same time. Simultaneous interpretation in 7 languages (Russian, English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Mongolian, Italian) was carried out through Vinteo VKS during videoconferences, including the connection and control of remote translators.

Live online broadcasts of the Forum's business program were conducted in Russian and English and were available for viewing on all official channels of the forum and the organizer - the Roscongress Foundation.

The online speakers of the Forum were connected to the sessions both from specially equipped conference rooms equipped with terminal video communication equipment of different manufacturers, and using software clients. The Internet and closed networks were used as communication channels, measures were taken to prevent and quickly solve technical problems typical for cross-border sessions of the CCS (working on unstable communication channels and connecting participants from closed corporate networks).

As part of the Forum, one of the latest developments of Vinteo was used - the automatic volume mode of audio channels. It allowed the speaker to transmit the original speech for his language group in case of no need for translation, which significantly increased the comfort of the conference participants when using simultaneous translations.

The Vinteo VKS server layouts control mode was also actively used, allowing you to dynamically change the composition and location of participants on the screen in accordance with the specified schedule for each of the events. In particular, this mode was used to provide individual layouts to connected subscribers while complying with the requirements of protocol services of a particular country and, if necessary, transfer several different plans to the broadcasting studio of the television company - a certain speaker close-up, layout with a large number of displayed windows of participants, etc.

Preparation for the hybrid format of events of the Forum business program took 2 months and included coordination of areas of responsibility of performers, branding of interfaces, etc.
