Education publishing house

The Analit company (file) completed the three-year project of automation on the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform in Prosveshcheniye publishing house, one of the largest publishing houses of Russia publishing educational and educational and methodical editions.

Large volumes of release of educational literature and methodologies on different carriers, existence of difficult technology processes on production caused need of creation of the end-to-end accounting system for scales of all enterprise. Prior to the beginning of the project in the company there was an experience of use of solutions on the 1C: Enterprise 7.7 platform therefore the management made the decision on implementation of an automated system based on more modern solution "1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management 8".

It was supposed that a common information space for display of financial and economic activity of the enterprise will allow to create the solution and will cover all main business processes of publishing house, from planning and production before its implementation and assessment of satisfaction of the end consumer.

Within the project key business processes were selected, completion of a number of standard subsystems under requirements of production is made, data from the information systems operated earlier in the company are transferred. Today in publishing house subsystems of accounting and tax accounting, planning (including technology transactions), budgetings, personnel records, payroll (including calculation of royalties), accounting of OS and materials, an inventory control, cost accounting and price calculation on products, sales management, contract management (author's, civil, economic), customer relationship managements (regional analytics) are implemented.

Standard solution was complemented with a subsystem "Planning of publishing house" which allows to create annual and perspective release schedules of printed materials, to create the quarter diagram of accomplishment of technology transactions with the subsequent approval and the approval of requests for execution of operations. One more new subsystem "Budgeting of publishing house" is capable to create budgets for articles of certain centers of financial statements (CFS) using the mechanism of approval and a statement; consolidated budget; requests for a funds expenditure, with the subsequent approval and a statement. All this allowed publishing house to provide accurate control on the planned expenses in the budget.

Within a subsystem "Payroll" opportunities for charge to authors and artists, formations of requests for payment to authors, accounting on charges and debts to authors and artists were implemented. The subsystem Sales management was complemented with the special mechanism "Console of Orders" which allows to create and adjust orders of buyers, to keep account on implementation, return, receipt and movement of goods. The module on cost accounting and profitability of the edition allows to receive calculation according to each nomenclature, and the developed reports - to analyze change of cost value of calculations in production planning process. Besides the module on formation of individual statements was developed for publishing houses, documents are developed for work with periodicals, sets of educational literature.

A system is expected 270 jobs at 90-120 at the same time working users. The solution is used by administration, economical and production department, the center of planning and marketing, warehouse services, sales office, accounting, personnel department, other departments and the editorial offices of publishing house.

In the closest plans of the company - start of the module "Operational planning", completion of tax accounting, integration with a management system for media contents (manuscripts, decorating, audio and video of the record, dictionary and encyclopedic entries) constructed based on Documentum 6.0, start of a subsystem of CRM.
