Tashkent International Airport has acquired Russian-made robotic fire extinguishing systems. Fire robots are manufactured in Karelia and will be installed on the territory of the Uzbek air hub. This was announced by the head of the Republic of Karelia Artur Parfenchikov in June 2025.
According to RIA Novosti, negotiations on the supply of specialized fire extinguishing systems to Uzbekistan began in October 2024. Initially, the Karelian authorities proposed installing robotic installations in mosques in Tashkent, but subsequently the scope of Russian equipment was expanded.
The manufacturer of fire robots is the fire engineering center roboticsEFER"," which specializes in the production of robotic fire extinguishing systems. The company provides automatic fire extinguishing of premises and structures of large areas and volumes, as well as outdoor facilities in various climatic conditions.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Karelia for Economic Affairs Oleg Ermolaev in his [[Telegram] channel spoke about the development of cooperation between Karelian companies with Uzbekistan. He confirmed that the EFER engineering center will supply robotic fire extinguishing systems for Tashkent International Airport.
Robotic firefighting systems are a complex of two or more fire robots with a software control system. Robotic fire monitors provide a fire extinguishing agent flow rate of 4 to 125 liters per second. The composition and quantity of equipment is determined by the purpose of the installation and the peculiarities of the specific facility.
Russian-made fire robotics are also used in deserted technologies, which increases the safety of extinguishing fires at dangerous facilities. Automated systems are able to operate offline without human presence, which is especially important for large transport nodes.[1]
