In the capital of Crimea, the test operation of the first electric bus of the KAMAZ-6282, transferred to the disposal of the state unitary enterprise of the Republic of Crimea "Krymtrolleybus" for work on city routes, began. A low-floor all-electric bus took to the streets of Simferopol to conduct tests in real operating conditions. This was announced on August 13, 2025 by KAMAZ PJSC.

According to the press service of Krymtrolleybus, the project was implemented by the joint efforts of KAMAZ PJSC and the official dealer in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol - Avtocenter Tavrida LLC. The electric bus is aimed at reducing the environmental burden on the environment, improving the quality of the urban environment and increasing the level of service in public transport in the region.

The new modification of the electric bus is KAMAZ-6282 equipped with innovative batteries such as nickel-manganese-cobalt, which have an increased energy density. While maintaining mass and dimensional indicators, the power consumption of 201 kilowatt-hours is located on board, which provides an increased range of up to 100 kilometers.

The use of new batteries made it possible to improve the climatic installation, which became completely electric without the use of additional heaters. Batteries of this type are environmentally friendly, subject to recovery and allow the reuse of chemical elements, which corresponds to the principles of sustainable development.

A unique feature of the electric bus is fast charging - it takes only 10 - 20 minutes to fully recharge the KAMAZ-6282, which is 20 times less than the average charging time of the electric vehicle. The charging station has compact dimensions and the ability to connect to an AC or DC network, including a trolleybus[1]!
