On December 14, 2023, KamAZ announced the supply of the first batch of electric buses to Taganrog. It included 10 KamAZ-6282 vehicles.
According to the head of the Taganrog administration, Andrei Fateev, two routes for the movement of electric buses have already been identified - they will connect the Russian field and the Northern housing estate with the central part of the city. On the website of the government of the Rostov region, the routes are specified:
- No. 1 will provide transport communication between the northern district and the central part of the city;
- No. 2 will provide transport services to the historical part of the city from st. Chekhov to st. Petrovskaya.
According to the press service of KamAZ, electric buses were delivered to Taganrog as part of the program for the integrated development of urban electric public transport, which is being implemented under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister - Head of the Government Apparatus Dmitry Grigorenko in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation.
Samat Sattarov, Passenger Transport Director of KamAZ PJSC, stressed that the company supports the efforts made by the state to improve the environment in Russian cities and reduce pollutant emissions.
He added that KamAZ will continue to participate in such popular state programs and expressed the hope that the residents of Taganrog will appreciate the comfort and convenience of KamAZ electric buses.
In total, in 2023, the company will supply 97 cars to different cities of Russia. New electric buses have already received in Volgograd (21 pcs.), Rostov-on-Don (20 pcs.) And Perm (16 pcs.). The Kama Automobile Plant also shipped 10 electric buses to Kursk, Lipetsk and Taganrog. The last batch of 10 such cars will be sent to Volgodonsk by the end of 2023.[1]
