Profotec, which is part of the Rusnano portfolio, will deliver a set of electron-optical measuring transformers to Latin America. This was reported to Rusnano on August 5, 2021.

The equipment is designed to implement a pilot project of a digital substation in Brazil. The company plans to complete the supply of equipment in August 2021, and in September - to begin the installation of equipment.

The project participants will also develop methods for designing, evaluating the efficiency of solutions, metrology and operating a digital substation. Following the implementation of this project, the parties are considering the possibility of localizing the optical technologies of Profotek in Brazil and its participation in the digital modernization of the Brazilian electric grid complex, "said Oleg Rudakov, CEO of Profotec.

The cooperation agreement between the resident of the SEZ of the capital and the Brazilian state electric grid company Eletrosul, which is part of the Eletrobras group of companies, was signed in the fall of 2020.
