2021: Building the Core of Computing Infrastructure
On January 25, 2022, Krok announced the creation of a core computing infrastructure based on the HPE GreenLake platform for the "Center for Corporate Solutions" - a service company that ensures the work of enterprises of the NLMK Group and Transport Holding. CRIC also supports this infrastructure, on the basis of which business-critical applications work: HR system, transport logistics system, electronic archives, robotization platforms, etc. The service contract is concluded for five years. It has already improved the cost-effectiveness of infrastructure by 14%, thanks to the flexible increase in resources as needed. The proper level of information security is also ensured.
The CCR infrastructure is based on the HPE GreenLake platform, provided according to the "Everything as a service" model. Its essence is the absence of initial investments - the client installs a software and hardware complex on its territory, thereby ensuring compliance with the requirements of security services. But at the same time he pays only in fact the resources used according to billing reports. Online capacity expansion (by adding new disks, memory, etc.) is carried out by the service provider on request.
CRIC provides CCR with a virtual infrastructure, monitoring its performance in 24x7 mode, scales, configures the environment, replaces failed spare parts. Also among the works provided by CRIC are proactive support: monitoring of performance and disposal of resources, monitoring of software updates, planning of equipment replacement after End of Service Life.
We see a trend for cloud services, but at the same time we understand that the public cloud does not solve the entire range of corporate tasks. For example, we simply cannot take part of critical systems beyond our perimeter.
