Rosselkhozbank (RSHB) has completely switched to Russian equipment to protect its distributed network, uniting more than 1,400 units throughout the country. This became known in May 2024.
The joint project of the bank, Cross Technologies and S-Terra CSP made it possible to evenly distribute the load on communication channels, minimize the number of failures and protect the network using domestic equipment with GOST encryption. The developed solution took first place in the international innovation competition held in Russia.
As noted by Vadim Grigorenko, head of the infrastructure division of the RSHB, the introduction of a domestic subsystem for protecting information from unauthorized access ensured safe interaction between all branches and data processing centers of the bank:
To ensure the best security of equipment, software and technical support certificates, RSHB decided to introduce domestic subsystems for protecting information from unauthorized access, ensuring safe interaction between all branches and data centers of the bank. |
According to Grigorenko, the transition to Russian equipment has become part of a large-scale import substitution program implemented by the RSHB in recent years.
Earlier, Rosselkhozbank began developing its own integration platform based on open source software. This made it possible to create the AppFarm platform, which provides a full cycle of developing your own software and operating applications in a single ecosystem. According to Nikolai Ulyanov, Deputy Chairman of the Bank's Board, more than 200 million messages are processed daily on the basis of this platform and more than 40 application systems operate, many of which are critical to maintaining the bank's main business processes.[1]
