2023: Implementation of Remote Face Monitoring and Analysis

The European Medical Center launched the EMC-Connect platform in 2023 to collect patient health data. Thanks to the introduction of remote monitoring and facial analysis, it is planned to improve the screening system, as well as the direction of preventive medicine in general. The Russian accredited IT company TelemedHub is responsible for the integration of the system, which announced this on May 29, 2024.

We are proud to have launched such a digital product as an analysis of the patient's health using photopletismography technology, i.e. video image of the face. There are already similar tools in many, and countries of the world we are not going to lag behind them. Unlike smart health cameras, where you need to send your photos or videos to doctors, EMC-Connect users diagnose with a phone camera and save the necessary ones in data. application In addition, they do not need additional devices Bluetooth with such as tonometers and pulse oximeters, which allows you to multiply the audience of the service. I am sure that on the scale of our country, this service could become an indispensable tool within the framework of the program for the prevention and monitoring of the health of citizens, said EMS Digital Transformation Director Yegor Safrygin.

We have been working with the European Medical Center for many years - our services, including EMC-Connect, have been used by hundreds of people. I note that my colleagues and I have plans to obtain a marketing authorization from the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation for the method of determining blood pressure by face scanning, which will allow us to use this technology, including in the state health care system and provide it to the widest range of users, said Volodymyr Dmitriyev, co-founder of TeleMedHub.

In order to use smart monitoring, you need to connect the MobileMedII service in the EMC-Connect application and specify user parameters - gender, age, weight and height. The work of the technology is built on the analysis of light reflected from the face of the patient and interacting with blood vessels in the deep layers of the skin. For such an analysis, it is the face that is suitable - the open part of the body, from which one can conclude about the blood flow in the body. Measurements using the camera take only 60 seconds. Unlike foreign counterparts, monitoring is more accurate due to clear centering and an additional framework for face capture.
