Information on a warehouse

The production warehouse of the company of 3000 m of apartment was subject to automation.

The raw warehouse of Evrostroystandart company, is intended for storage of raw materials and the facades of buildings completing for glazing. About three thousand SKU or product names are stored in a warehouse. Generally it is the aluminum shape about six meters long and component parts for its connection. Differences of a profile of different producers are so insignificant that do not allow even to experienced employees to distinguish one from another without the aid of special directories.

Features of a warehouse are defined by the goods stored here - it is lengthy constructions from the aluminum shape, difficult and various on the configuration. Also the enterprise has own painting production and workshop on assembly of constructions. The profile colored in different colors represents different nomenclature positions. Painting can be performed from two parties (internal and outside). As shades of flowers a huge number, at normal warehouse lighting it is significantly complicated correct identifications of color of a product.

The warehouse works under control of WMS "BUHTA: Warehouse complex".

The implemented problems of automation

Before WMS implementation "BUHTA: The warehouse complex" technology process did not allow to use optimum height of a warehouse and high-rise warehousing. The reason, was that to be stored in a warehouse a set of externally similar parts. The part, necessary at selection, was determined by appearance – the storekeeper. The external similarity of parts demanded from the storekeeper of thorough knowledge of distinctions and distinctive features of each type of products.

WMS implementation "BUHTA: A warehouse complex" allowed to solve this problem, due to use of technology of barcoding and mobile terminals of data collection.

The Article, Colour of painting, product Length became key parameters of identification of a load in this warehouse. Considering variety of constructions and color shades, it is obvious that even on appearance it is difficult to experienced warehouse worker to identify goods. And it is integrated to undesirable errors at selection of orders.

Therefore optimization of use of resources and identification of goods became the major tasks here.

For this reason the decision on marking of each commodity unit which would consider its article, color and dimensions was made. For goods of one configuration, but different color, for example, in a system different barcodes are generated. It allowed to distinguish, first of all, goods without long survey and reconciliation with the color swatch and articles. So, it is possible to place goods where it is difficult to consider and use it less qualified personnel, saving at the same time an opportunity to unmistakably identify goods. For the purpose of reduction of time of input in the system of information on the movement of products and for increase in accuracy of selection of each employee of a warehouse equipped with the mobile terminal of data collection, with the built-in scanner of barcodes.

The unique concept of integration of a financial and managerial complex BUHTA with programs for industrial automation of metalplastic constructions is developed (Optima WIN and altAwin).

Effect of implementation of WMS "BUHTA: Warehouse complex"

System implementation of management of a warehouse BUHTA gave significant reduction of time of carrying out Inventory which took before exactly two days, on what now at most 3 hours leave.

Other important consequence of implementation the WMS BAY – is solved a problem of economy of materials. Any required construction in production gathers from a set of necessary fragments of the predeterminated length. When all goods are marked, information on stock balance and their parameters is stored in a system. It allows to select them under the specific order so that to minimize waste.

Marking of each unit of production allowed to place a load in the most suitable place in a warehouse, and the information system allows to pick up this place taking into account many parameters, including using a method of ABC of turnover analysis of this load.

Thanks to the fact that an opportunity precisely appeared to know location of each unit of production, it was succeeded to use warehouse height more rationally. Earlier, when for selection of the order it was necessary to have an opportunity to see it, height of racks did not exceed 2 meters. Now in a warehouse rack constructions 8 meters high, service of loads on which is performed by a frame crane, are set. Thus, the capacity of a warehouse increased more than by 700 cubic meters on the same area of storage, i.e. approximately by 4 times.
