2019: Implementation of the Powercom ONL-M-100K UPS

On October 14, 2019 the Powercom company reported that within the implemented project on protection of the crucial medical equipment delivery and installation of powerful modular uninterruptible power supply unit of POWERCOM ONL-M-100K and battery cabinet of BAT-ONL-M is performed.

In OBUZ of Fatezhsky central district hospital the magnetic and resonant tomograph which required providing with uninterrupted power supply was installed.

The project task - according to GOST 50571.28-2006 (all medical premises should be supplied with abnormal electric power supplies) to provide giving of constant voltage of the set value for ensuring normal operation of the medical tomograph and also to protect the equipment from any probable problems in the feeding power supply network: losses, splash, failure of tension, radio-frequency and electromagnetic interferences, non-linear distortions.

Start and continuous work of a medical office of MRT in Fatezhsky central district hospital was impossible without ensuring safe and continuous operation of the tomograph. Inclusion in continuous operation of this device has great social value in Fatezhsky district of Kursk region, and allows our hospital to increase service quality and to expand the list of the provided medical services for the population, - the customer representative notes.

In a work progress over the project detailed study of compatibility of the UPS with the installed device MRT was required. Because at inclusion of a x-ray tube within several seconds MRT consumes big power, special attention was paid to selection of power of the UPS – the representative of the company integrator says. – The UPS installation, considerably exceeding loading power, would lead to unjustified rise in price of a system. The solution of a task of search of optimal model demanded carrying out technical advices with the producer of the tomograph. The POWERCOM UPS of the ONL-M 100K series was suitable on technical characteristics for accomplishment of an assigned task, and its modular architecture allows to make maintenance and repairs without interruption of a power supply of loading.

In the POWERCOM ONL-M-100K UPS there is a possibility of remote monitoring – for operating control behind operation modes of the UPS the tally lamp connected to "dry" contacts is used. In case of loss of an external power supply and transition of the UPS to work from batteries, the radiologist can quickly make the decision on the termination of a research or not begin another before recovery of an external power supply and transition of the UPS to the online mode.
