The software package "Efficiency" — a product of IntelLex company — allows marketing specialists of Federal Passenger Company to receive efficiency evaluations of work of long distance trains in new economic conditions of managing of FPC. Results of the first quarter are received already using a new technique and the software.
Monitoring of efficiency of passenger long distance trains was always the most important condition of acceptance of high-quality management decisions at the organization of passenger traffic. Structural reform of the railway industry generated the need for a new technique of efficiency evaluation of transportations for distant following corresponding to a new economic situation in which there was FPC. After transition of the company to independent business activities there was a new system of relationship between JSC FPC and JSC "Russian Railways" as the owner of infrastructure. Locomotive and infrastructure components were selected and turned into structure of external expenses, the structure of own expenses of FPC changed owing to what the efficiency of transportations became the most important success factor of activity of the company.
The software package "Efficiency" was brought into commercial operation since 2012 on the basis of the technique created by department of economy of VNIIZhT with active participation of specialists of IntelLex company (regarding testing using large-scale calculations). The report on efficiency of running of passenger trains in 1 quarter is prepared already using a new system.
The project manager — the head of department of information analytical applications of IntelLex Ltd Leonid Maksimenko is engaged more than 10 years in development of the automated means of calculations of efficiency of a passenger complex of railway transport.
"the automated workplace "efficiency" implements the new technique of assessment approved in FPC at the end of last year and gives to specialists of FPC the chance to obtain information both on each train, and on separate groups of cars, – Leonid Maksimenko commented on development. – The analysis of dynamics of volume and qualitative indexes of work of trains, expense structures and a possibility of impact assessment of each component (infrastructure, locomotive and carriage) on a financial result gives the chance to make the justified management decisions on their optimization.
In the new automated workplace calculation of efficiency of groups of cars of the through-message is for the first time implemented. Before similar calculations did not manage to be made as the reporting data of an ACS of "Express-3" used in work do not contain data on perepritsepka of through-groups. Owing to what distortions in assessment of cost efficiency of trains of such cars participating in promotion took place.
"For the solution of this problem — Leonid Maksimenko tells — in the automated workplace the universal model describing with necessary detailing routes and train schedules, hook-on and through-groups of cars was developed. This model allowed to separate work of through-group on following trains with a high accuracy, to calculate its efficiency as a part of each of following trains separately and on all a route in general".
Appreciation to work with the new automated workplace is given also by the staff of FPC. "For the first time from the moment of transition of FPC to independent business activities our specialists received the picture which is most full reflecting realities of new economic conditions" — the head of department of marketing of FPC Vera Milevskaya so commented on results of the first experience of use of a new technique.
On October 20, 2011 the vice president of JSC "Russian Railways", the CEO of FPC Mikhail Akulov approved the new technique of assessment of cost efficiency of work of long distance trains developed by VNIIZhT together with IntelLex Ltd, and since January 1, 2012 its practical application in work of FPC began.
