2023: Transition to TrueConf VKS platform

The Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science of Russia has switched to the autonomous VKS platform TrueConf. Based on the solution, a video conferencing network was launched for internal communications, remote work and external online meetings with government agencies and regional divisions. TrueConf announced this on March 29, 2023.

Rosobrnadzor performs the functions of regulation and control in the field of education and science, on an ongoing basis interacts with representatives of public services, regional educational bodies, heads of educational and scientific institutions. Due to the high number of meetings, approvals and training events held for employees, Rosobrnadzor needed a domestic platform that would allow for a large-scale digitalization of communications.

To solve this problem, the department deployed the TrueConf Server VKS platform. The solution was installed on the hardware of Rosobrnadzor, which excludes the transfer of data to third-party resources, prevents the leakage of corporate information and protects against blocking by foreign IT suppliers.

Rosobrnadzor employees connected to the TrueConf VKS platform were able to use the built-in scheduler for online scheduled meetings, as well as launch video calls and conferences with selected participants on the fly. For remote interaction, personal and work, PERSONAL COMPUTER as well as mobile devices applications with TrueConf, are used. This allows you to communicate in group video conferencing, 1-on-1 calls and connect telephony SIP subscribers and/H.323 devices to online meetings. For collaboration, training of employees, holding effective meetings with representatives of the education sector, transmission, files demonstration of screens, work with presentations and other useful tools are available.
