2025: Implementation of BRAS Software

VAS Experts implemented a software BRAS based on the SCAT platform in the network Mexican Internet-. provider Fibra.TV Thanks to this, the operator solved problems with performance and management, and also prepared the infrastructure for the growth of the subscriber base. VAS Experts announced this on April 28, 2025.

Previously, Fibra.TV used routers MikroTik to authorizations record subscribers. As the load increased, failures began to occur, new users became difficult to connect, and tariff management became more difficult. The operator needed a solution that would ensure stable network operation and flexibility in configuring services.

Software BRAS from VAS Experts made it possible to centralize session management and optimize access. The operator now uses both PPPoE and IPoE, and can also apply content filtering, speed limiting, and scheduled access. The system was deployed in a virtual environment without hardware routers, which simplified scaling and reduced costs. At the same time, the transition took place without interrupting services and was fully integrated with billing.

In addition, to automate billing processes and simplify subscriber management, FibraTV has integrated its infrastructure billing system. Hydra This accelerated the billing process, improved the accuracy of accruals, and minimized errors.

After the introduction of BRAS from VAS Experts and integration with the Hydra FibraTV billing system, it was possible to significantly increase the performance of its network. Service quality and delay issues have been addressed, connection stability has improved, and technical failures have been reduced. Integration with Hydra automated billing processes, reduced the burden on customer service, and reduced the number of charges and rate management-related calls. As a result, the company was able to improve subscriber service and more efficiently manage its network, - summed up Artem Tereshchenko, Development Director of VAS Experts, ITG Corporation.
