Automation of a warehouse is complete in Finvest company

The Finvest company automated a warehouse based on a product "1C Logistics: Management of warehouse 3.0". Integrator the AXELOT company participated in the project.

At the Beginning

On rather small, 1200 sq.m. in size, a warehouse of safe custody of Finvest LLC more than 600 names of the medical equipment, spare parts and medical supplies are placed.

The planned expansion of an assortment number of a delivered goods became a reason for search of new approaches to management of warehouse economy: exact and operational customer service without the organization of address storage and use of a specialized automated system became difficult.

Selecting a warehouse management system (WMS), Finvest was guided by several main requirements: functionality of the software product, sufficient for tasks of the company, available cost and rather short terms of implementation. As a result, the decision was made for benefit of WMS "by 1C Logistics: Management of warehouse 3.0".

Signed the agreement on implementation Finvest with the developer of the specified system, AXELOT company. At the end of September, 2010, after conducting preliminary survey of a warehouse, the parties started project works.

Solution

Within the project specialists of AXELOT entered to the standard version "1C Logistics: Management of warehouse 3.0" the changes corresponding to needs of the customer. Based on a system transactions of acceptance, placement, selection, shipment, internal transfer, inventory and assembly of sets are automated. Selection of goods among which there are supplies with a limited expiration date is configured according to the principle of FIFO assuming priority shipment of the comer by the first of goods. After preparation of instructions and user training at the end of December, 2010 WMS was brought into operation in 2 workplaces.

Result

The implementation project of WMS is complete in three months. In June, 2011 Finvest LLC, together with the AXELOT company which executed system implementation summed up the first results of the project.

The organization of address storage considerably simplified search of goods for personnel of a warehouse; selection by the principle of FIFO allows us to avoid almost completely losses of supplies because of exceeding of their storage lives. Besides, now at any moment we can obtain all necessary information on a warehouse status, including, about a remaining balance of goods by storage locations".
