Cooperation of FTO and Food Union began in 2011 with system implementation based on Microsoft Dynamics AX at the Latvian plant Valmieras Piens. After successful start the FTO is engaged in maintenance of a system under the contract of SLA type. In the summer of 2016, in connection with growth of Food Union company, a number of new projects which main objective was an increase in controllability by group in general started.
Among projects:
- Implementation of MDM,
- Development of the system of collecting of the uniform management reporting,
- System implementation for control automation by purchases,
- System implementation for preparation of the consolidated statements according to the IFRS standards.
We by right can consider projects which were custom-made with the assistance of FTO by Food Union difficult and interesting. Difficulties face because of a geographically-distributed structure, multilingualism of a command, country specifics, the distributed structure of the company. Working on the Food Union projects, the command regularly had to face any restrictions. It was difficult to adjust communications in the big project team including more than 100 specialists.
Now at the final stage there are 3 large-scale projects:
1. The project on implementation of the management reporting for the Baltic division. The pilot project was started on 10 platforms in 5 countries: To Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus, Russia. Owing to national and state peculiarities at the enterprises different accounting methods were used. The project team was faced by a task to lead them to uniform standards for consolidation of the reporting. At the request of customers the report of PL, the reporting on profitability of a brand, analytical reports on sales and distribution were automated, the new model of product cost is constructed. In the project progress all key reference books were transferred to a uniform MDM system (Master Data Management). Changes in the local systems, including in Microsoft Dynamics AX, 1C, Microsoft Navision were required. Intermediate data from the transaction systems were consolidated in separate storage, and already on their basis closing statements in the analytical QlikView system are under construction. Now the project is at a stage of trial operation. As a result for 10 working days the term of collecting of the management reporting decreased, the uniform methodology of collecting of the consolidated statements is implemented, the ability to manage is had by key KPI.
2. Preparation of the consolidated statements according to the IFRS standards Within the project the specialized Tagetik (IT) system is implemented. This solution covers all legal entities of the European group. In a new system 3 quarters are already closed, the project team is engaged in preparation of annual accounts for 2017. As a result of work as a project team rules of collecting of the reporting are developed, forms for automatic calculations are developed and configured: credit-notes, Time Balance, the report of PL, receives the mechanism of elimination of intra group turnovers, business processes of collecting of the reporting are implemented.
3. Automation of purchases The project is executed on program base of the project on implementation of the management reporting + within this project was added Harisma software The main objective set by the customer - control automation by material flows. The additional complexity was connected with need to deploy earlier implemented solutions on those enterprises which were not included in the project according to the management reporting.
