On January 24, 2017 the Infor company announced implementation of Infor SCE technology in seven countries of Europe on platforms of the producer of the Ford cars.
Project Tasks
At Ford company work cross-dokingovye the centers in Germany, Italy, France, Spain, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Great Britain. In the warehouses, for example in Cologne or Zarlui, the company daily accepts hundreds of trucks with goods, and the staff of local service of logistics should process them in only one and a half days for providing uninterrupted supplies. Workflows in warehouses require ideal coordination for timely delivery of parts to the plants of final assembly. Storage of parts in intermediate warehouses near production lines (so-called marketplaces) is provided within no more than 12 hours — after that they in turn are used in build process.
All sendings orders executed in the centers processes need to be digitalized. Infor SCE will accept prior notices of deliveries — in particular, about the delivery schedule and goods quantity. Consignors will begin to receive notifications on a point of unloading and the corresponding time frame. After acceptance all delivery receipts will be scanned and used in a cross-dokingovykh processes according to the delivery plan. Larger loads for the different plants of final assembly will distribute on specially selected zones for preparation for sending.
Information on the damaged pallets or problems of processing will be transferred in the system of warehouse control Infor in the form of digital reports during the procedure of return. Damages should be registered by means of photographing and to send collected information to the supplier for the problem resolution at the electronic level that will allow to initiate a subsequent delivery at once.
Processes of consecutive scanning in such centers provides fast and exact processing of parts, often — without intermediate storage. On the basis of data of scanning from the subsidiary platform loading, information on which the forwarding agent obtains in the form of the electronic notification, is made. After obtaining the notification from a zone of loading Infor SCE sends the notification on the dispatched cargo to the plant of final assembly.
In addition to workflow optimization in general, the software is made by a supply chain of more transparent. Ford can monitor accomplishment of orders in real time and, therefore, proactively react to possible problems with deliveries.
Besides, the warehouse control system increases employee performance of services of logistics. Standard processes help personnel of new service providers to deal with this solution quickly. Use in all centers of sending orders of the uniform software will allow to estimate quantitatively processes and their efficiency, to carry out control, comparison and optimization on any of sections.
