In the middle of September, 2019 it became known that the government of Germany invests 650 million euros within the next two years to support transition of quantum technologies from basic researches in applications, ready to application.
Within this initiative of IBM and one of the leading European organizations on application studies Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft announced the partnership agreement in the field of quantum computings for the purpose of development of researches in Germany. The purpose of cooperation is creation of new community for development of industry and applied strategy of quantum computings.
According to terms of agreement, at one of the IBM enterprises in Germany the IBM Q System One system which will become the first installation such in Europe will be unrolled. IBM Q System One developed by IBM Research provides quality, reliability and reproducibility of multibit transactions, allowing to conduct modern quantum computing researches in the scientific and industrial purposes.
Ideally quantum computings will allow to understand difficult molecular and chemical interactions, to solve the most difficult problems of optimization and to take a huge step forward in the field of AI. Such progress can lead to discovery of new vital drugs, improve supply chains and optimize models of financial data.
The joint initiative of Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and IBM will allow to integrate outstanding scientists and industrial deyayatel in the center of quantum computings Fraunhofer Competence which already actively works in the field of quantum technologies based on fourteen institutes. All participants will get access to the most advanced quantum systems of IBM through IBM Q Experience and also to the best software and tools. Besides, all employees will be able to be trained by the leading technical experts of IBM.[1]
