The automobile plant of GAZ Group develops a factory area network of data transmission

On October 28, 2013 the CROC Volga region company announced project completion of creation of IT infrastructure for projects of contract assembly of the cars placed on Gorky Automobile Plant.

Project Tasks

In the summer of 2011 GAZ Group signed a number of agreements with the large-scale world automobile concerns on contract assembly of cars at the GAZ plant in Nizhny Novgorod. One of key stages of deployment of production - creation of its IT infrastructure.

Project Progress

GAZ Group held the tender for the choice of contractors for accomplishment of the delivered IT tasks. The CROC Volga region company won it regarding delivery of active network equipment for deployment of a corporate data network, installation and putting into operation.

Set the task of providing all workshops and administration rooms of production with the reliable, scalable and safe local computer network using the available communication channels and cable passages for specialists of CROC Volga region.

"When implementing the project we considered perspectives of development of network: it will be able to grow in process of increase in number of users and expansion of a range of the provided services and information systems. The built data network allowed the customer to solve several relevant problems at once: integrate geographically distributed workshops and administration rooms, create the base for work of corporate applications and services. Within the project specialists of CROC Volga region company performed works on setup of the equipment of a core of network, the access equipment on all territory of production, including workshops of assembly, welding, coloring and a voskovaniye, the center of logistics and quality control. Upon the demand of the customer the workshop ^{of assembly of 45 thousand sq.m} is covered with Wi-fi network.

Now the data network works in the mode of production operation, more than 1 thousand employees of production are connected to it.

The data network is created on the basis of a switching equipment of Cisco Systems, all within the project more than 250 items of equipment are used.
