The consulting center of the Gas Group entering into the Gas Group brought an automated system of monitoring of IT infrastructure of IBM Tivoli into commercial operation. On November 8, 2012 reported about it to TAdviser in IBM Russia.
The consulting center of the Gas Group passed to products of the IBM Tivoli family as an alternative to the separate systems of the different producers set in different years in the center, his representatives specified.
Project Progress
In the press service of IBM Russia told that the project began in March, 2012. The stage of implementation took about 6 months. Within October, 2012 a system passed a running in in the test mode and already since the beginning of November was brought into commercial operation.
The monitoring system is constructed on modularity both easily scaled, and includes the following components:
- IBM Tivoli Monitoring is a subsystem of monitoring of servers and applications.
- IBM Tivoli Network Manager is a subsystem of network monitoring.
- IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus is a subsystem of event processing.
- IBM Tivoli Common Reporting is the module of creation of the reporting.
Result of implementation
Implementing solutions of the IBM Tivoli family allowed to increase quality of monitoring of IT infrastructure of the consulting center which provides operability of IT systems more than 15 geographically distributed companies entering into the Gas Group.
The automated system is customized in such a way that it allows to analyze signs of possible malfunctions or premises to them and in the automatic mode to eliminate them.
Implementation was carried out by the local system integrator CompuTel System Management entering into CompuTel holding.
"The solution allows to include also in a monitoring circuit new objects with the minimum costs", - the head according to the solutions IBM Tivoli for management of IT infrastructure of IBM Russia Alexander Koryukin told.
