The head investment and construction department of the Republic of Tatarstan together with Sisoft Kazan Ltd implemented the newest technology of design based on software products of Autodesk company.
Solution
Specialists of Sisoft Kazan Ltd provided successful implementation in the Head investment and construction department of the Republic of Tatarstan of programs of a line of Autodesk Revit (Autodesk Revit Architecture, Autodesk Revit Structure and Autodesk Revit MEP). Designers of Glavinveststroy of RT for the first time worked in the three-dimensional environment of modeling using BIM technology. Design of the swimming pool which was built in the village Old by Drozhzhanoye became a pilot project.
Result and opinion
The deputy head of department A.A. Nasyrov told based on implementation: "At the beginning of 2010 we created own project department. All design was conducted using the software of AutoCAD. Applying traditional methods of design, we faced problems of inconsistency of design data with real indicators. The new technology allowing to combine obtaining working drawings from the worked building model was required. Having studied the offers existing in the market, attending seminars, test drives and having got technical advices of specialists of Sisoft Kazan Ltd, we decided to try the Revit software product based on technology of information modeling of buildings. After acquisition of commercial licenses and passing of training courses the decision to execute a pilot project was made. For these purposes the project team as a part of two architects, two designers and two specialists of the adjacent directions was created. Jobs of a project team were equipped with the corresponding software of Revit Architecture, Revit Structure and Revit MEP. As pilot the "Covered Swimming Pool with Gym in the Village Old Drozhzhanoye, the Drozhzhanovsky Municipal District of RT" project was selected. Project implementation began in the middle of January and in two months we received the project documentation. During implementation of this first project we faced difficulties, but not in connection with project solutions, and due to the need to change thinking of our designers as they needed to depart from traditional methods of design. Using technology of three-dimensional design, we could glance in each corner of the building and obtain all necessary information for calculation of estimated cost of the project".
