Start of supply of vaccine from COVID-19 "Sputnik of V" in the Russian Federation manufactured in South Korea
In Russia began to deliver the vaccine against a coronavirus COVID-19 "Satellite V", made century To South Korea. The Asiana Airline delivered the first batch of medicine in Moscow December 25, 2020, the second — on December 29. In January the 2021st is expected by supply of vaccine to other countries.
According to the Yonhap agency, is engaged in production by "Sputnik of V" in South Korea the Hankook Korus Pharm company entering into the GL Rapha group with which earlier the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) signed the agreement on production of vaccines.
At the beginning of December, 2020 the head of department of GL Rapha public relations Kim Gui Yong in a conversation with RIA Novosti reported that the company conducted negotiations with all necessary bodies in South Korea concerning obtaining all permissions for production and storage of vaccine.
There are no big problems as vaccine is anyway intended not for South Korea. All amount contracted at the moment is intended for the Middle East, – he explained. |
According to Kim Gui of Yong, GL Rapha is ready to provide additional production volumes. He said that at first vaccine will be produced in the frozen type allowing storage at-18 degrees, however, if further the Russian side transfers the companies of data on production of the lyophilized type (storage at +2 ~ 8 degrees), then GL Rapha will be able to make both types.
If to compare, for example, with vaccine of Pfizer which is stored at-70 degrees she demands special packaging and specialized transportation. Besides, after extraction from a special container vaccine is effective only within half an hour. Therefore it is complex both in transportation, and in use. In case of the vaccine "Sputnik of V" storage is possible at-18 degrees therefore they can be transported in normal isothermal containers. It can be also used during rather bigger time therefore in terms of logistics is more convenient, – Kim Gui Yong said.[1][1][2][3] |
