High rates of development of the construction industry predetermine requirements imposed to work of the companies. More it concerns those who work in the field of production of construction materials. Not only volumes and quality of products, but also capability quickly become the most important criteria of success to react to the changes happening in the market and constantly changing requests of consumers. All this stimulates to change of approaches to the organization of business processes, implementation of accurate control and planning at all production phases is crucial.

Group of Terracottas – one of the largest producers in the market of finishing materials. It began the history of the development in the mid-nineties of the XX century with opening of a small workshop on production of a facing tile of Terracottas. Today Terracottas – one of leading manufacturers of a facing decorative stone which partners are federal and regional retail chain stores, the large wholesale and wholesale and retail companies, builders of cottage settlements and chimney workshops not only Russia, but also the CIS countries. The company actively develops, production volumes grow, the geography of sales extends, development of the new directions is conducted.

In October, 2010 at the enterprise implementation of the automated control system for the Galaktika-Express enterprise began. At the initial stage was the decision to adjust operation of the most necessary modules is made: salary and accounting of personnel, logistics, accounting and production. Implementation process considerably accelerated because personnel training was conducted in parallel with system implementation directly in workplaces.

  • Need of system implementation of Galaktika-Express is connected with the fact that in structure of the enterprise there are 5 firms today, and payroll calculation, drawing up necessary reports and collecting of costs were still conducted almost manually. All this created certain difficulties in work of the enterprise: there was no opportunity to see postings in documents; create new transaction; configure necessary cuts the analyst; receive variance of depreciation of fixed assets; calculate planned and actual cost of products, etc. Big number of staff (about 170 people work at the enterprise), seasonality of production, a staff turnover – all this complicated work on accounting and accounting of personnel.

Decisive criteria when choosing a system of Galaktika Express became expanded, in comparison with other systems, the volume of modules and also rates of implementation – setup of a system occurs without rewriting of the program that considerably accelerates automation process. In the next plans – implementation of the module on production management which is going to be completed in April, 2011.
