The Moscow Exchange held the first issues of the CFA. Gazprom Neft and GPB-Factoring became issuers of assets. This was announced on September 27 by the press service of the Moscow Exchange.
We are very happy to present to the market the first issues of digital financial assets. Fruitful cooperation with issuers made it possible to simultaneously test the infrastructure and interaction of the information system operator and the exchange operator formed on the basis of the Moscow Exchange Group. In the future, this will allow you to quickly offer new issues of instruments for a variety of assets, which will significantly expand the capabilities of Russian private and institutional investors, and issuers will receive an additional channel for raising funds for the development of their business - said Sergey Kharinov, director of digital assets at the Moscow Exchange. |
Gazprom Neft issued its CFAs to raise additional funds to finance its activities. The company's output amounted to 100 million rubles. The period of circulation of the CFA is 58 days at a rate of 13% per annum. The possibility of redemption and early repayment is provided.
We still have a lot to do for the development of the [CFA] market, so that it becomes understandable and convenient for both issuers and investors, calibrate regulation and taxation for this. <...>We see a great prospect in the market for everyone - said Denis Shulakov, first vice president and head of the capital markets block at Gazprombank. |
The issue of ZFA "GPB-Factoring" is aimed at placing temporarily free funds. CFA was structured in the form of monetary claims in the amount of 100 million rubles. The maturity of the issue is one day at a rate of 13% per annum. The CFA has already been repaid.
Both issues took place on the platform of the National Settlement Depository. Gazprombank acted as the organizer of the issues.
The Moscow Exchange received a license to issue the CFA on August 3, 2023. As the chairman of the CBE Nabiullina noted, trading in digital financial assets is important for maintaining a high level and speed of innovative activity in the market.[1]
