Project History

The electronic document management system of DIRECTUM was implemented in Gazprom VNIIGAZ LLC in 2011 by Directum M company. The company accompanying and finishing a system in the course of carrying out the tender, selected TANAIS company and, since start in commercial operation, undertook complete maintenance of a system.

In several years of work in a system, in connection with change of business processes and need of updating of the version of DIRECTUM, the IT service VNIIGAZ initiated a number of projects on completion, integration and updating of a system.

In total within the project on completion of DIRECTUM, in interests GAZPROM VNIIGAZ, were executed by TANAIS company, along with implementation of small requirements and a number of large tasks. Each project solution demanded big preparatory work regarding design. Since the company has a difficult organization structure and a large number of users of a system (more than 600 employees).

Integration of the DIRECTUM system with Novell eDirectory

Use of a directory service of Novell eDirectory for centralized operation by access to resources on a set of network servers, is the requirement of a security system of Gazprom VNIIGAZ LLC. Completion of the mechanism of integration of EDMS DIRECTUM with Novell eDirectory consisted in the solution of two main objectives:

• development in addition a method of connection of users – Novell-authentication;
• the organization of import of groups and accounts of users from Novell eDirectory in EDMS DIRECTUM.

The translation of the DIRECTUM system on the new version

Within maintenance a transfer of the DIRECTUM system from version 4.8 on version 5.0 was made.

Completion of the DIRECTUM system for business process automation "Providing access to ASTU"

Within this task, completion of DIRECTUM for business process automation "Providing access to the Information System of Time Keeping (ASTU)" when using a corporate system of electronic document management of DIRECTUM was made.

Main objectives of the project were:

• the description of business process "Providing access to ASTU" when using a corporate system of electronic document management of DIRECTUM;
• unification of process of providing access to users to ASTU;
• distribution of functions and responsibility of the divisions participating in process of connection of users to information resources of ASTU;
• determination of tuning properties and administration of the DIRECTUM system for optimal use in Society.

Completion of DIRECTUM for business process automation Contract management

Within this project completion of a system for automation of process of approval of draft agreements, agreements, protocols of disagreements and other contractual documentation was carried out to ASED.
