"Subsidiary" of Gazprom will invest 2.2 billion rubles in licenses of SAP

Gazprom transgaz Yugorsk, the largest gas transmission company of Russia and 100 percent subsidiary of Gazprom, purchases the licenses SAP software for 2.2 billion rubles. The company published information on the corresponding purchase at the only supplier^[1] of August, 2016.

Says the name of the file in documentation that purchase of SAP is made. In documents the vendor is not specified, and the software hereinafter is referred to as "Replication of a template of a management information system of the enterprise (IUS P) for the sake of appearances of activity "transportation of gas and gas condensate" (Stage 1) in gas transmission subsidiaries. 1 start-up complex".

The number of licenses about which there is a speech in purchase is 3613. Under the terms of the agreement, the rights to use software solutions are assigned on all validity period of copyright in the territory of the Russian Federation. Together with it, the gas transmission company is granted the rights to creation and storage of backup copies of the program. Installation and support of solutions are performed on the basis of the separate agreement.

Similar solutions for other types of activity were already implemented at the enterprises of Gazprom. So, since 2011 in the generation companies of the Russian gas corporation integrated within Gazprom Energoholding development and deployment of a management information system of the enterprise was conducted. At the gas enterprises of the IUS group for the sake of appearances of activity "Gas production and gas condensate" is replicated since 2014.

In June, 2016 Gazprom and SAP announced plans of creation of the joint venture for software development for business process automation of management of the enterprises. It was reported that software will be developed for the benefit of the Gazprom Group, at the same time it can be adapted for specifics of activity of other potential consumers. As expected, joint "child" of two companies will begin to function until the end of 2016.
