2023: Creating a solution for managing related goods

The network of filling stations Gazpromneft and Korus Consulting have developed an IT solution for managing related goods. Corus Consulting announced this on July 13, 2023.

The product, which was called STIUM (related goods and store management), solves the problems of assortment, pricing and movement of goods when working with related goods of the Gazpromneft gas station network. This solution is already used by 800 gas stations of the network. After the completion of replication for the entire sales retail chain Russia department, the company plans to connect its gas stations in, countries CIS as well as independent partners to the system.

The Gazpromneft network includes more than 1,400 gas stations throughout Russia as of July 2023. The company's gas stations are not just refueling points cars , but multifunctional complexes: shops with a wide range, cafes, tire pumping and washing services and other services.

To manage related products, the company needed software with a high development rate that would support network growth and ensure the scalability of the solution. In addition, STIM is designed to combine a different set of functions that network partners use to manage the assortment and prices of gas station goods.

1C: Trade Management was chosen as the platform for developing the solution. The system of the Russian vendor with great functionality for the retail business is being modernized and provides the optimal cost of ownership. As a result of competitive selection, the KORUS Consulting group of companies became a partner in implementing the solution.

The project team conducted a survey and developed MVP (Minimal Viable Product). The launch of the STIUM pilot first took place at ten gas stations. The first version included assortment management, retail prices, integration with NSI systems, POS. Then the IT specialists began replicating the solution at other stations and developing the solution. Added functions: information about partners in the system, warehouse operations, production and cafes, many integrations with related products and the Fair Sign labeling system.

The created solution improves the efficiency of business process management in terms of related goods and network services. Working with assortment, assigning prices - everything is done in the same system, regardless of where the gas station is located. As of July 2023, STIM is registered in the register of domestic software. Further, we plan to launch it on our network in the CIS countries, as well as offer independent gas stations, - said Pavel Boykov, head of the center for the development of digital gas station systems at Gazpromneft-Center.

The complexity of the project was that the system had to be built into the existing IT architecture of Gazpromneft-Center, performing many integrations. In addition, the smooth operation of STIM is extremely important for business, as it directly affects commercial operations. Due to the geographical distribution of gas stations and the complexity of the IT landscape, we gradually connected gas stations. The chosen project approach, the expertise of our team, as well as the high involvement of the customer's employees have become key success factors, - said Evgenia Surzhko, Project Manager of the 1C Department of KORUS Consulting Group of Companies.
