SUE Tatinvestgrazhdanproyekt upgrades design processes

The technical guidance of institute set the task of upgrade of the existing design process and its transfer to new qualitative level using a modern CAD.

Goal

For the solution of an assigned task the involved specialists of Sisoft Kazan Ltd developed the "Program of complex development of computer-aided design facilities" including – including, for design automation of infrastructure facilities – utoCAD Civil 3D and the GeoniCS PC in structure: GeoniCS of Research (RGS, RGS_PL) and GeoniCS Топоплан-Генплан-Геомодель-Сети-Сечения-Трассы.

Solution

After the detailed analysis of level of training of technical specialists and the used technology of design a set of software products of development CSoft Development – GeoniCS of Research (RGS, RGS_PL) for automation of processing of these field measurements in the field of geodesy – GeoniCS of research (RGS, RgsPl) and for graphic design of survey and creation of digital model of the area – GeoniCS Topoplan and also AutoCAD Civil 3D from Autodesk company was offered specialists of OIIZ. Implementation of the drawn-up plan of automation was begun with mastering of these software tools by departments of engineering researches (OIIZ) and master plans. In September, 2011 the company management of CSoft Development on favorable terms provided to OIIZ SUE TIGP temporary versions of the GeoniCS PC for test use. In the commercial versions of products purchased based on testing additional wishes of users were considered.

At the same time it is too difficult to transfer all specialists of big institute to three-dimensional design at once. For gradual mastering of new technology of design the experimental group was created. Specialists of this group were trained in the equipped educational class under the leadership of the teacher from Sisoft Kazan Ltd then they started practical use of the developed technology of design in the work. The first steps in workplaces troubled, but thanks to own diligence and persistence and also technical support of specialists of CSoft Kazan, it was succeeded to have positive result and an opportunity for further development.

Opinion

The lead engineer of the general plan of APM-1 Ruslan Nafisovich Minnivaleev noted SUE TIGP: "Before at our institute a large number of time was spent on development of different versions of the general plan that the customer could select an optimal solution. Especially a lot of work had to be performed during creation of vertical layout and approval of results of suppliers. It was difficult to explain to the customer project intention and to permit the difficult moments arising during design.

Therefore we without hesitation decided to master new technology of design and after training started accomplishment of the general plan in AutoCAD Civil 3D at once. The result did not keep itself waiting – the new outline sketch was submitted to the customer within shorter terms, and the received model allowed to calculate quickly and precisely volumes of earth masses. Now, when the customer suggests to make changes to the project, adjustment of the project does not take away a lot of time as earlier! Considerably accelerate design process and do it extremely convenient for joint work of our specialists of a possibility of collective access to models, exchange of fast object references with department of OIIZ and also the intellectual communication between objects which is automatically making changes to all coupled elements of the project".
