2020: Start of the integrated COV.ID platform
On May 8, 2020 the SAS company reported that it combined efforts with Software Group for start of the integrated COV.ID platform. Its creation became a part of a unified plan of measures for control of a pandemic which implements Council of Ministers of Bulgaria.
According to the company, the platform integrates data from the organizations working with effects of spread of a koronavirusny infection: border service, Ministry of Internal Affairs, regional inspections of health care, municipalities, and laboratories. A system based on SAS processes data, helps to lead them to the structured unified format and to provide to them access in real time to the authorized specialized agencies.
The platform is integrated with the SAS Visual Analytics system that provides interactive, multidimensional visualization and the automatic analysis of epidemiological data and also evident forecasts about potential effects of a pandemic. In addition to interactive geospatial reports of SAS Visual Analytics provides epidemiological insights which help the government with the solution of such tasks as modeling of different scenarios of succession of events, optimization and resource allocation (human, material and financial), control and prevention of spread of a virus and also the complete analysis of process of treatment of the diseased of COVID-19.
COV.ID is already integrated with GIS system and mobile application of ViruSafe which is developed by the partner IT companies and also with the systems of the public institutions which are responsible for monitoring and reduction of rates of distribution of COVID-19. Project management, information security and data management are performed by national integrator JSC Informatsionnye uslugi, the key partner of the state organizations in the field of ICT in Bulgaria.
We are proud of the fact that we manage to make the contribution to fight against a pandemic. Such systems cannot be the project of one organization. To achieve success, the governments, public organizations and experts-epidemiologists should work together. George Robev, the CEO of SAS Bulgaria told |
