2021: Completion of the first phase of implementation

On July 8, 2021, it became known that the first stage of the implementation of the Safe City agro-industrial complex was completed in Kyrgyzstan. The project reduced the number of traffic violations and road accidents. As of July 2021, the implementation of the second phase was launched.

The first phase of the "Safe City" began in 2019. Surveillance cameras installed on the roadway reduced the number of accidents - drivers began to comply with traffic rules. According to statistics, road accidents became less in Bishkek by 50%, and in the Chui region - by 70%.

As of July 2021, photo and video recording cameras were installed in the capital at the 38 busiest intersections and 4 overpasses. In the Chui region, cameras monitor compliance with the speed limit on 48 roads. In addition, 20 mobile software and hardware systems are placed on the GUOBDD map.

The second phase of the project will be implemented by a company from China. The number of CCTV cameras will double. Construction and installation works are underway, after which the installation of equipment and software will begin.

It was reported that the second stage of the implementation of the Safe City system is in danger of disruption. In connection with the pandemic, the Chinese company Shenzhen Sunwin Intelligent Co. Ltd did not have time to complete the installation of cameras on the roads by June 18, 2021. The implementation deadlines had to be postponed to[1].

2020: Shenzhen Sunwin Intelligent launches second phase of Safe City project in Kyrgyzstan

The company Shenzhen Sunwin Intelligent began in the summer of 2020 to implement the second stage of the project "Safe City" in Kyrgyzstan, reports the Economist.

The cost of implementing the project is estimated at almost 2.7 billion rubles. At the moment, the stationary hardware and software complex Perekrestok in Bishkek has been launched in test mode. The Chinese company received permits from the state authorities of the republic for the installation of another 38 Perekrestok complexes in Bishkek, 35 of the same complexes in Osh and 6 complexes in Tokmok.

The delay in the implementation of the project in Shenzhen Sunwin Intelligent was explained by the epidemic situation in the world and the closure of borders, in connection with which their specialists could not fly from China to Kyrgyzstan.

On October 8, 2019, according to the results of a competition between the State Communications Committee of Kyrgyzstan and Shenzhen Sunwin Intelligent Co. an agreement was concluded for the implementation of the second stage of the Safe City project.

The second stage of the Safe City project covers the entire territory of Kyrgyzstan: 7 regions, 2 cities of republican significance, 15 cities of regional and regional significance, 73 settlements. As part of the implementation of the second phase of the project, it is planned to cover 306 points (266 stationary and 40 mobile) with hardware and software complexes.
