The government of Sevastopol will take city public transport under control of GLONASS

On October 29, 2015 it became known of the project of information and navigation providing automobile routes of public transport in the city of Sevastopol. The project orderer the government of Sevastopol, integrator ERNITS RK company^[1].

Project Tasks

In Sevastopol 98 routes of the passenger motor transport, 4 routes of the marine transport, 14 routes of passenger electric transport work.

Sevstopolya public transport (2013)

On October 29, 2015 the government of Sevastopol approved an order of expenditure of a federal subsidy for information and navigation providing automobile routes of public transport. The general size of a subsidy is 80 million rubles.

According to plans of city government, all types of public transport in Sevastopol will be connected to the uniform dispatching center via GLONASS system till March, 2016.

Vadim Dvoryanenko, the chief of head department of informatization and communication at the government of Sevastopol, told: "Means will go for delivery of a hardware and software system with the software for the regional navigation information center (RNIC) of Sevastopol, delivery of 20 automated jobs and also 800 sets of satellite navigation. All requests from the state public transport are collected. Till December 27 all equipment will be delivered to Sevastopol and installed".
