The government of the Novosibirsk region implements the program of upgrade of IT in health care

On July 24, 2014 it became known of an implementation project of an information system in the field of health care of the Novosibirsk region. Supply of equipment in the project was executed by Aquarius company.

Project Tasks

The Novosibirsk region started implementation of the large-scale program of upgrade of health care which affects all network of medical institutions of the region. The program purpose – improvement of medical care to the population.

Within this program there was a problem of implementation of modern information systems in health care:

• electronic stories of diseases,
• the personified accounting of services and patients,
• universal recording capability to the doctor in electronic form,
• exchange of telemedicine data;
• system implementation of electronic document management.

For the solution of a complex of tasks there was a need to create the system of the automated jobs of staff of 92 medical institutions located in 25 different localities of the region with the uniform center of remote control, monitoring and administration.

As the supplier of the solution the Aquarius company is selected. The partner in providing the Windows Embedded operating systems and a single system of management of proVconnect – Quarta Technologies company.

Project Progress

In the Novosibirsk region specialists developed a hardware and software system on the basis of the equipment Aquarius from a line for the project "thin client" - the compact devices connected to the server of terminals. Their use significantly simplified administration and setup of each device in this project from more than 3 thousand, allowed to solve a security concern and fault tolerances of a system, safety of confidential data at the minimum total cost of ownership and the size of the terminal.

On the basis of the Windows Embedded Standard operating system 7 specialists of Akvarius develop, configure and test a program image for thin clients with functions of the centralized installation, remote administration and management. It helped to reduce the size of an image of OS and to simplify functionality of the device. Application of the RDP 7.0 protocol allowed to ensure safe remote work of the user with the server on which it was started Windows Server 2012 Standard.

The uniform complex of management is unrolled on the platform of the operating server framework of the customer by means of software of proVconnect of WanPulse company, it implements monitoring of functionality and security, support, administration and scaling of all system.

The implemented functionality of a management system:

• configuring of a remote workplace;
• remote support;
• protection of a system;
• determination of functionality of the client affecting security;
• copying of files and installation of applications on the client;
• management of the rights and magazines of the administrator, updating of the client;
• possibility of distribution of a system image according to an automated workplace.

Project Results

The hardware and software system by means of which in short terms the unified information environment integrating 92 medical institutions of a different profile – clinic, hospitals, clinics, maternity hospitals and the stations of ambulance is created is created and unrolled. Management and monitoring of all park of the equipment and security of a system is performed far off from one command center.
