The Saratov region will save 2 million rubles on paper at the expense of EDMS in 2014.

In March, 2014 the government of the Saratov region announced plans in the current year to provide connection to EDMS of local municipalities. At the expense of it the authorities expect to increase efficiency of interaction of the regional government with administrations of municipal districts and city districts.

For connection to a system administrations of municipal districts will need to sign the agreement with committee on informatization of area on information exchange and to appoint responsible for work in a system, to determine their rights by access to different functionality of a system.

It is supposed to provide connection and training of specialists of municipalities on a grant basis, the only costs which will be incured by administrations of municipal districts will be connected with acquisition of electronic signatures of heads.

In the government of the Saratov region the EDMS "Practice" developed in Tatarstan is used. At the end of 2012 a system was unrolled in executive authorities of area and its test operation, completion and configuring was performed.

The works on implementation of EDMS in the government were supposed to be completed until the end of the first quarter 2013, and in the second quarter 2013 it was going to carry out adaptation of the implemented system and implementation of necessary actions for data protection.

According to the Chairman of the Committee on informatization of the Saratov region Larisa Kuznetsova, as of the end of 1 quarter 2014 during operation of an electronic document management system more than 200 thousand documents containing over 1.5 million pages are created. At the same time a third is only created from these documents in electronic form.

According to preliminary estimates committee, by the end of 2014 the number of electronic pages in a system should approach 5 million that will make economy of expenses on paper more than 2 million rubles Besides, considerable cost reduction on maintenance of printing devices is expected.
